“Survivor needs to take care of their own lives rather than relying on medication,”

December 8, 2016

Says Thakchi Sherpa, one of the EpiNurse members in Nepal, is providing seamless care in shelters. These shelters were built immediately after the earthquake in 2015 and is still continuing to provide as home for many evacuees. Such prolongation of life in evacuation requires daily monitoring and health prevention. Due to lack of access to medical facilities on site, many of the residents must learn how to take care of their health and to create healthier environment so that they can be safe from an outbreak of communicable diseases that are prone in crowded areas.
